edge Urban Design is a female-founded Urban Design and Masterplanning studio, based in Oxfordshire, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Northern Ireland. We’re a creative, interdisciplinary practice with a ‘people and places first’ approach.

We believe places should be for everyone. We exist to weave identity, landscape and heart back into development, to turn ‘sites with units’ into places for life and belonging; to create a world where every one of us can feel at home.

We are highly experienced in every stage of the design process across strategic masterplanning, visioning and advocacy. Our work spans the UK and includes award-winning projects that challenge conventional approaches to placemaking.

We pride ourselves on our guiding design principles. We are landscape guardians, we are place storytellers, we are community champions, we are inclusivity advocates and most importantly to us, we are ‘human to human’, working to shape places that feel as good as they function.
