Trees in hard landscapes - getting it right in Greater Manchester
Thursday, January 29, 2015 | 1:45 PM to 5:00 PM (GMT) | The Manchester Museum
A planner, a civil engineer and an arboriculturist will discuss how Greater Manchester can meet its sustainable growth ambitions using urban trees to deliver multiple benefits and returns on investment.
The event will discuss the opportunities to deliver a sustainable integrated infrastructure as explored in the Trees and Design Action Groups new publication Trees in Hard Landscapes: A Guide for Delivery. These include above- and below-ground solutions for traffic calming; sustainable transport; surface water management; high street regeneration and climate change adaptation.
