Join the Urban Design Group for an informal urban design walk exploring Bristol's historic harbourside, its public spaces and its evolving relationship with the wider city.
The waterfront walk
4pm – Meet at Museum Square, west of M Shed
We'll follow the waterfront towards Design West, taking in the historic dockside and Arnolfini along the way.
Using Bristol's harbourside as our starting point, we'll explore how the waterfront has evolved and consider the design challenges and opportunities shaping its future.
What we'll explore:
- Heritage – What should Bristol preserve?
- Public realm – Where would you most want to spend time?
- Movement – How well does the Harbourside connect to the wider city?
- Placemaking – What is missing from the Bristol waterfront?
Whether you're an urban designer, architect, landscape architect, planner, developer, student or simply interested in how cities evolve, everyone is welcome.

We'll finish with an informal social at The Architect Bar. Join us for a drink, meet fellow urban design enthusiasts and continue the conversation.
