Re-Thinking Logistics
BRIEF
UMC Architects were invited to share their ideas under the title ‘Rethinking Logistics’, considering how logisitics could develop and innovate in the future, and move away from a homogenous approach to logistics. We interpreted this brief by developing thoughts around logistics as part of settlements and mixed use, people focused developments.
CONCEPT
This thought piece establishes the opportunity to incorporate large scale logistics into everyday life, taking opportunity of vast real estate areas, and drive for added value. The concept of bringing logistics to the doorstep and support community assets for existing and new communities, offers a new approach to locality for live, work, play.
