Regeneration Framework for St. Bartholomews Hospital, Rochester, Kent

On behalf of NHS Property Services, Boyer prepared a Regeneration Framework for the St. Bartholomews Hospital site in Rochester, Kent.

The regeneration of this site will present an attractive opportunity for the town, integrating a key site with the rest of the town centre. The masterplan is designed around the key existing buildings on site and include sensitively designed addition of new buildings around, all set within a site responsive landscape design structure. The steep levels differences on site and short and long distance views play a key role in shaping the proposals and ensuring these are retained. New movement routes aim to make the site more permeable and integrate with the surrounding.
