Cowen+Partners is a multi-disciplinary practice focused on people. We create homes that people want to live in, that are rooted in community and place-making. We also believe in our clients, the people we work for, and seek to define a truly co-aligned relationship throughout the design process. Never has this been more important than in the current commercial market.

Our approach is centred on the creation of place, with a deep and holistic understanding of local traditions, connectivity, social sustainability and integration. Places for people that are both beautiful and rooted in everyday life. Our masterplans range in scale from single sites within a wider framework, suburban extensions, new settlements and formation of new neighbourhoods.

Whether it’s a new development or a regeneration project, we set out to unlock the potential of a site to create a place where people belong, where a sense of identity and rootedness is bound up in a sense of place. Our approach is founded on healthy placemaking; a commitment to creating communities that are planned around social and environmental factors that promote good health – from priority of people movement to access to nature.
