An international seminar exploring best practice in space for major public events and sport stadia.

Sports and Public Events play a major role in the life of towns and cities, with people travelling locally, nationally or even internationally, to participate, support or celebrate.

The infrastructure that enables these events: the stadia, the public spaces  and the surrounds, provides huge scope for architects, planners  and urban designers to create an environment that provides the unforgettable short-term experience of attending an event, as well as ensuring long-term viability.

At this international event we will discuss the planning, placemaking and design issues, using scenarios  from India where there has been unlimited scope for designing around public use and an enhanced user experience.
