Leo's Lewes | UDG Street Tour

Saturday 11 September 2021 - 11:30
Lewes Railway Station forecourt

FREE

This free walking tour, led by former UDG Chair Leo Hammond and UDG Director Robert Huxford, will cover the town of Lewes, old and new. The tour will encompass more recent development in the town centre at the Printworks, Styles Fields and the Depot, alongside the historic twittens, mathematical tiles, historic High Street, former priory (and medieval toilets!) and of course, the castle.

"Over the past year, Human Nature – a Lewes-based campaigning development company – has been working on plans for a new walkable, renewably-powered, super-green neighbourhood on the former Phoenix industrial site in Lewes, East Sussex. These ideas will be presented in an exhibition in the Foundry Gallery at our Phoenix Project Design Festival 10-12th September... Join us for an exhibition of work in progress plus talks, workshops and children's activities."
