Meet colleagues and friends interested in urban design and the changing face of seaside towns in this visit to Margate.

The event is free, open to one and all, but please book a ticket:

Meet at the Margate Railway Station at 11.00. Followed by a walk around the town and the coastline.

  • High street troubles - does Margate still have one of most challenged shopping centres in the South East?
  • Seaside Regeneration - has the Turner Contemporary and the re-opened Dreamland brought a change in Margate's fortunes?

NB the trains to Margate also stop at Ashford, where the ring-road regeneration scheme can be viewed 10 years on.
