Wednesday 3 July 2019 (All day)
The Gallery, 70 Cowcross St., London EC1M 6EJ

Come and join a lively evening of debate and discussions on proposals for politicians to improve urban design.

Tim Hagyard, topic editor of the new edition of Urban Design Urban Design and The Politician, will report back on the UDG survey of its readers. Join us for a lively debate on the vital policies and actions politicians should be undertaking to improve urban design.

You will be invited to discuss and vote on a range of ideas and proposals at this Urban Designers Assembly.

  • A well-resourced national agency to raise standards of urban design and placemaking?
  • The use of Manual for Streets to be made compulsory?
  • Design training for all highways professionals?
  • A Streets Act to replace the Highways Act 1980?
  • National Urban Design Guidance to become a material consideration in planning?

Or a proposal of your own?

If you would like to put a specific proposal forward for debate then please email the UDG office administration@udg.org.uk
