Venice Takeaway
February - April 2013
Venice Takeaway, first seen at the 2012 Venice Architectural Biennale, presents the work of ten architectural teams that travelled the world to seek imaginative responses to universal issues and explore the common ground of architecture. The exhibition charts their course in Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Russia, Thailand and the USA.
Presented by the British Council in partnership with the RIBA, Venice Takeaway includes dRMM's imaginative proposals for floating communities, Darryl Chen's idea for audacious new forms of neighbourhood planning, and Fideicomiso, a new 'developer free' development model based on legal trusts.
