The Architecture Centre Networkbrings you thispre-event to the governments Housing Design Award. It offersan introduction to some of 2012s entries that the judges deemed exceptional responses to issues currently facing development.

This expert seminar is delivered in partnership with Design for Homesand sponsored by Robert Bullivant.

Every year the Government's Housing Design Awards judges review hundreds of schemes shortly after obtaining planning permission.

This expert seminar introduces six entries shortlisted in the Housing Design Awards 2012, selected for providing solutions for layout and planning issues currently facing the development industry.

  • What changes are in the housing production pipeline?
  • How is layout creating apartment density with fewer apartment costs?
  • What's changing in designs about to go on site in England?

A range of inspirational house types and layouts will be covered - houses for every market. This is the first chance to see, hear from the design and development teams and interrogate what is coming out of the ground this year and next, from urban house types for estate regeneration to Garden City-type retirement villages to organic rural layouts.
