Urban Design Communication

Tuesday 8 November 2011 - 18:30
The Gallery, 70 Cowcross Street, London EC1M 6EJ

The difference between success and failure when it comes to urban design and public realm schemes is often a question of effective communication. Politicians, public, and professionals often find reading plans difficult, and the conjuring up in their minds an image of how a place might be different, impossible.

However there have been major advances in recent years in presentation skills, techniques and technologies that enable the ideas of the designer to be conveyed in ways that anyone can understand.

This event features two of the leading exponents of communication in urban design

Bally Meeda of Urban Graphics (author of Graphics for Urban Design) www.urban-graphics.co.uk

and

Janine Tijou, Director of architectural visualisation experts Designhive www.designhive.co.uk
