STREET London: Local Streets Tour, Kingston

Saturday 16 July 2011 - 11:00
Kingston Train Station

Kingston upon Thames is situated on the east bank of the River Thames, and lies about 12 miles upstream from Westminster Bridge. This riverside location was, and still is, a major influence on the development of the town. This local neighbourhood tour will include the historical background to the settlement, the development proposals for All Saints church and the emerging proposals for the market square. The town was also the first to gain Business Improvement District status and a member of Kingston First will introduce what this means to the management of the area.

The tour is being organised by Katy Neaves. It will start at the train station at 11am and end at The Ram public house.

This event will be cost free but places are limited.
