India has one of the fastest growing economies in the world (8 percent per annum) and it is the fourth largest by purchasing power parity. It is also rapidly urbanising, with an urban population now in excess of 300 million. The evening will look at the massive challenges and opportunities for urban design with a number of speakers having contributed to issue 119 of Urban Design on India.
