Stuart Randle
Stuart is an Urban Designer and Masterplanner with over 25 years’ experience delivering design-led masterplans, strategic visioning, and placemaking projects across the UK. As a Recognised Practitioner of the UDG, Stuart has worked with landowners, developers, local authorities, and housebuilders to shape sustainable, context-responsive communities ranging from sensitive regeneration schemes to large-scale urban extensions and garden communities.
He is co-founder of RAMP Studio Ltd, where he specialises in site promotions, visioning documents, concept masterplans, and planning strategies that combine strong placemaking principles with commercially deliverable outcomes. Stuart is particularly recognised for his ability to communicate complex ideas through clear narratives and highly visual, engaging design material that helps build consensus between clients, stakeholders, planning authorities, and local communities.
Before establishing RAMP Studio, Stuart held senior urban design roles at Boyle & Summers and Turley, and previously worked within local government at Southampton City Council and Medway Council, contributing to planning policy, development briefs, and design review. He also serves on the Bournemouth Design Panel and Southampton Design Advisory Panel, providing independent design advice on a range of development proposals.
His work is driven by a passion for creating places with strong identity, environmental sensitivity, and lasting social value; combining strategic thinking, urban design, and graphic communication to bring ambitious ideas to life.
