Ross Pritchard

Ross is an Urban Designer based in Birmingham. His CV includes work in both the public and private sector, specialising in landscape architecture, public realm, master planning and urban design.

 

Ross is a Chartered Landscape Architect and Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design. This has provided a strong base on which his career has evolved. Ross has experience across a wide number of sectors including Residential, Education, Health and Leisure. He has a focus on delivering Landscape Led master planning that puts place and people first.

 

Projects include:

  • Lea Castle - Mixed use extension of 800 homes & 7ha of emloyment to a recently built 600 houses on the site of the former Lea Castle Hospital.
  • Langley Sustainable Urban Extension, Sutton Coldfield: Ross has provided senior support for the preparation of the outline application and masterplan for up to 5,500 dwellings and mixed use local centre.
  • Thorney Lane, Iver - Garden Village located adjacent to a proposed cross-rail station circa 1200 new homes, commercial and retail areas. Preparation of a vision for promotion through the local plan.
  • Market Harborough - Urban extension of circa 2500 homes, early stage development of hig level plans and compilation of land ownerships to establish consortium and option agreements.
  • Whitchurch, Hampshire - settlement extension of 800 homes and a 17Ha employment area. Preparation of a vision for promotion through the local plan.
  • Hales, Norfolk - settlement extension of 600 homes and mixed use area promoted through the local plan process.
  • Foxlow Farm, Buxton - Delivery of a Reserved Matters scheme for circa 400 dwellings in a sensitive landscape context with a landscape led focus on the master planning and application process. The process involved a high degree of master planning workshops with the local authority and ensuring that key stakeholders views were incorporated into the process.
  • Long Itchington - Site promotion work through the local plan for circa 250 new houses.
  • BMHT Modular Housing Scheme - Ross worked extensively with Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust (BMHT) to establish a set of design principles and parameters for developing sites across the City on a 100% off-site construction basis. These principles addressed how to layout the sites, including orientation, size, typology of space, access, services and landscape treatments.
