Richard Shaw
Richard studied Town Planning at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and followed this with an MSc in Transportation Planning and Policy. After working in transport planning, Richard moved in to urban design with an MA in Urban Design at the University of Nottingham.
After working in both the public and private sectors, Richard has worked as an urban designer for 12 years and now works at South Kesteven District Council, dealing with a range of projects. This includes commenting on planning applications largely comprising of major residential schemes, delivering and writing design policy and design guidance documents and training staff and Councillors in urban design.
