Nicola Jones

Nicola earned her MA in Urban Design from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012 and has since built a career in the private sector, honing her skills in the field. She is currently an Urban Designer at STEN Architecture and has previously worked with JRP Associates and two major housing developers.

Her experience spans a wide range of urban design projects, from small residential schemes to large-scale developments of up to 6,000 homes, as well as mixed-use sites. Nicola regularly manages multiple projects simultaneously, producing site analysis plans, concept layouts, parameter and character plans, masterplans, and detailed drawings for planning applications.

With a strong foundation in both education and professional practice, Nicola brings a well-rounded skill set to place-making and design across various scales. Her extensive experience in the development sector ensures a commercially and technically informed approach, complemented by a creative flair for producing masterplans that are both visually compelling and strategically aligned with client goals.
