Flo Marshall

Flo Marshall is an urban designer with two decades of experience creating healthier, more inclusive places for people. As Head of Urban Design at Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, she leads the design and delivery of active travel, public realm and streetscape projects that help communities thrive and make walking, wheeling and cycling more attractive everyday choices.

Flo specialises in collaborative, community-led design processes, bringing together residents, schools, local authorities, local stakeholders, accessibility groups, elected members and multidisciplinary teams to shape places that genuinely reflect local needs and aspirations. She is particularly passionate about designing streets and public spaces that are safe, welcoming and inclusive for people of all ages, genders and abilities.

Her work spans RIBA stages 0-5 with extensive experience in School neighbourhoods, street improvements, public realm enhancements and active travel infrastructure. She has led projects from early visioning and co-design through to implementation, always seeking to balance technical excellence with social and environmental value.

Flo is committed to creating places that support healthier lifestyles, stronger communities, social justice, and more sustainable futures, and believes that great urban design begins with listening, understanding and working collaboratively with local people and technical experts.
