Emma Pearce

Emma is an urban designer and Chartered Town Planner with nearly 15 years’ experience in masterplanning and urban design, working across the UK and internationally. Part of Mott MacDonald’s Cities Studio, Emma coordinates technical and design experts to tackle major constraints including sustainability and regeneration challenges, underpinned by stakeholder and community engagement.

Emma has worked across a wide range of projects for public and private sector clients in the UK and internationally, from area-wide strategies to site-based masterplans and public realm schemes. Sites include residential-led neighbourhoods, employment sites, and town and city centres, alongside specialist environments such as ports, airports, campuses and public sector estates. Emma has a particular interest in active travel schemes developed during her time working for Living Streets and work on a range of walking and cycling infrastructure projects.

Since 2025, Emma has taken on the role of Wales Chair for Place Collective UK.
