Andrew Gilsenan
Andrew is an experienced Urban Designer and Recognised Practitioner of the Urban Design Group with over 10 years working in the UK and internationally. Andrew holds a BA and MPlan from the University of Sheffield with a year at the Institut d’Urbanisme in Lyon.
As Director of Urban Design at Pegasus group for the North West, he provides Masterplanning and Detailed Design input to a wide range of residential, commercial and mixed use proposals and deals with strategic land issues.
Andrew's has substantial experience working for major housebuilders, and ensures that schemes prepared for clients will be attractive to the market. Andrew has particular expertise in the preparation of Design and Access Statements Building for Life / Building for A Healthy Life Assessments and is respected for his ability to produce schemes that secure high quality sustainable design solutions. Along with work for immediate land, Andrew has worked on a number of key strategic projects in the East Midlands and in the North West. Andrew has also appeared as an Expert Witness on design grounds for a number of successful Planning Appeals.
The design team at Pegasus work to support planning applications and have an exceptional understanding of the development control process and planning policy requirements in relation to design. Our design team is well regarded and is increasingly involved in expert design review and witness work.
