BRIEF
UMC Architects and Breedon Group’s shared vision is to create a lasting legacy for the site that will benefit the local community for years to come. The proposed scheme and strategy represent a unique opportunity to re-purpose the Cement Works and quarries, establishing it as a landmark development within the Peak District.

CONCEPT
The legacy scheme aims to secure the next 100 years for the site and surrounding context, by re-imagining the cement works brownfield area under the umbrella of ‘in the park’. Key buildings and structures are retained, with new buildings introduced to form a heritage and leisure led, mixed use environment, set in a variety of landscape and parkland settings.
