Guildford Town Centre

The Guildford town centre and hinterland masterplan identifies a flexible, deliverable strategy balancing a coherent, exciting vision with pragmatic environmental and technical considerations. Undertaken with extensive consultation and building upon the 2014 town centre vision, the masterplan has potential to deliver more than 2,600 new homes, more than 45,000 sqm of new shopping floorspace and a significant amount of new office, leisure and community activities over the next 15 years and beyond while protecting the historic town centre and embracing new connections with the picturesque River Wey, creating a beautiful community riverside park. The result is a compelling vision for urban development with a long-term horizon.
