Central Retail Park, Manchester

Central Retail Park is a strategically important retail site located within the city centre; however the site is not fulfilling its potential. TH Real Estate alongside MCC therefore wanted to explore options for revitalising the site and facilitating connections with New Islington. Turley Design were approached to shape a new masterplan for the area, comprising a high quality residential-led cluster.

Working closely with MCC and in partnership with 5plus Architects, Turley Design developed guiding principles which have defined a new direction for the site; with development responding positively to Great Ancoats Street and also connecting to Cotton Fields Park to the north. Enhanced public realm and landscaping further enhanced the proposal creating a masterplan which balances high density city living with public space at a human scale.
