Ahmedabad Olympic Park Masterplan

Populous is proud to have partnered with the Government of Gujarat to develop the masterplan and concept design for the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave in Ahmedabad. This enclave is being considered as one of the potential event hubs for India’s bid for the 2036 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In addition to the Populous designed sports venues, the public space design includes parkland, plazas including the central Ring of Unity, paying respect to Sardar Vallabhbhbai Patel, outdoor sports fields, and an artificial beach along the riverfront. The enclave is envisioned as a vibrant public space with a strong long-term legacy for the people of Ahmedabad.
