We are looking for a talented Consultant/Senior Consultant to help expand our Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment (TVIA) work.

The successful candidate will have relevant consultancy experience and be able to demonstrate a proven understanding of all technical aspects of Landscape/TVIA for both EIA and non EIA projects.

Working within our heritage and townscape team, the successful candidate will prepare townscape and visual impact assessments liaising with our in-house GIS, graphics and visualisation Consultants. There is also an opportunity to provide inputs to heritage, urban design and placemaking assessment projects.

The role is part of a busy team who provide support to development projects for in-house planning teams across a wide range of sectors (including; retail, housing, education, leisure and infrastructure) as well as providing independent advice to Clients including leading housebuilders, developers and landowners.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work as part of a team. 

You must demonstrate a very high level of technical competence with an excellent standard of written and spoken English, excellent analytical and communication skills. 

You will be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and VuCity as well as being a competent photographer. Familiarity with AutoCAD would be helpful but not essential.

The minimum requirements for the successful candidate are:

  • to have at least a 2:1 or equivalent at first degree, in a relevant subject;
  • excellent report writing and graphic presentation skills;
  • experience in Consultancy and/or a good commercial focus.

Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute would be an advantage.
