Urban Design Group AGM 2014

The Urban Design Group's Annual General Meeting will take place in June (6pm,  Wednesday 18 June 2014 in The Gallery, 70 Cowcross Street, London, EC1M 6EJ) and we strongly encourage members to join us for this very important annual event.

At the AGM we will elect the Executive Committee for the coming year and we're particularly keen to welcome new members for the 2014-15 Committee. Any current UDG member can stand for the Executive Committee providing the nomination is supported by two other current members of the Group.

So, what is involved in being a member of the Executive Committee?

  • Regular attendance at Committe Meetings where we discuss the UDG's various activities and initiatives, plus other matters of significance to urban design and how we should respond as a Group. Meetings take place every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November) at our office in Cowcross Street, London.  However we're very keen to welcome new members from around the UK, so it is possible to join as a corresponding member and we can offer support for travel to London to attend occasional meetings.
  • Willingness to join a sub-committee depending on your particular interests (for example events, media and communications, policy etc) and attend ad hoc meetings as necessary.
  • Above all we're looking for new ideas, enthusiasm and a willingness to be hands-on in leading forward on initiatives.

The Urban Design Group is uniquely placed to influence the built environment community through its journal, events, awards and other activities; but we need your help to keep the Group growing and progressing.
