1898 – Fist fight in the old Kent Road involving 200

1862 – Garrotting Panic – leads to restoration of flogging

And of course there are the various “rebellions” that took place, eg Jack Cade, Peasants revolt, etc etc etc.  Not to mention the Viking raids of the 800s .
