Preferred region:

  • South West, 30%;
  • South East, 25%;
  • London - suburbs and the City, 7%;
  • London - West/Central (including Mayfair, Chelsea and Kensington), 7%;
  • East of England, 6%;
  • Yorkshire and the Humber, 4%;
  • Wales, 4%;
  • Scotland - Highlands and Islands, 3%;
  • West Midlands, 3%;
  • North West, 3%;
  • Scotland - Central and Lowlands, 3%;
  • East Midlands, 2%;
  • North East, 1%.

 

25% would choose a rural village;

22% a larger country town;

17% – would go coastal,

18% opting for a seaside town
