Could we learn to love the tower block?

This BBC magazine speculates that the downfall of the 1950s and 60s tower block was a combination of poor design, poor construction (including buildings susceptible to condensation and rain ingress) and poor management such as defective lifts used as toilets.

Solve these problems - and the tower block might earn a valued place in the urban fabric.  And many of these problems have been solved.
