Consequences of Ostracism

Implications here for what can happen when people work in silos or when interdisciplinary teams disintegrate.
It only takes 2-3 minutes of ostracism to do lasting damage. The individual, the research suggests, may go through a series of stages if the situation is not remedied.
Stage 1. The individual makes attempts to be included.
Stage 2. If the individual continues to be rejected they may resort to provocative or aggressive behaviour.
Stage 3. Where the individual becomes less helfpul and more aggressive to people in general
