Animated world map of remaining natural vegetation shows how land-use has changed over the past 8500 years
Submitted by Robert-Huxford on Fri, 15/04/2011 - 9:12am
Of note is change in South America up to the first contact with settlers from the old world leading to a dramatic reversal and revival of the natural environment, coinciding with the death of the indiginous population. The extent of global change over the past 100 years is remarkable.
