Join the Urban Design Group
All you need to do in order to join the Urban Design Group is download the appropriate application form here:
- Standard Form for Individual, Concession, Practice, Library & Local Authority Members
- Recognised Practitioner Application Form
- Prospective practice and education index members should also complete this form
Complete and return to us with your initial payment. You may pay by cheque (payable to Urban Design Group), online via Paypal (see the Pay Online tab) or set up a standing order.
A variety of categories of membership are available:
- Standard Individual member;
- Concession rate for students and retired members

UK Standard Individual - £40.00 per year
This includes the four quarterly issues of Urban Design, the biennial Urban Design Directory, reduced rates for UDG events, study tours and the annual conference
International standard individual - £50.00 per year
As above, including overseas postage.
Concession rate for students and retired members (UK only) - £20.00 per year
As above.
Recognised Practitioner - £80.00 per year (or £40.00 additional fee if you are already a member)

Local Authority - £100.00 per year
As above, but including two copies of each issue of the journal and reduced rates for all employees at UDG events and the conference. Local authority members also benefit from reduced rates for placing recruitment advertisements on the UDG website.
Practice - £250.00 per year
All the benefits of individual membership, plus entries in the practice index of Urban Design and the Urban Design Directory, and a listing on this website ( www.udg.org.uk )
Education Index - £100.00 per year
Same benefits as practice membership; available for educational establishments offering urban design courses.
UK / International Library subscription - £40.00 / £50.00 per year
Each issue of the journal and a copy of the Urban Design Directory.
Pay your subscription fee online with Paypal
You can pay your UDG membership fee online via Paypal. New members should still complete and return the membership form, but instead of enclosing a cheque you can choose the relevant category of membership and then click ‘Pay Now’ to proceed to PayPal's secure server, where you will be asked to provide your details to complete the payment.

Tickets can be purchased at the door from 6.00pm: £3.00 for UDG members and £7.00 non-members; £1.00 for UDG member students and £3.00 non-member students.
