Senior Urban Designer, DIY Street

£23,028 – £25,649 per annum

(dependent on relevant skills and experience)

37.5 hours per week - maternity cover - based in central Bristol

The inspiring challenge of this role is to manage a portfolio of design work associated with the delivery of the DIY Streets programme and related activities by leading on the provision of design expertise and advice for participating communities.  You will also support project and business development.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and with a relevant qualification in urban design, landscape architecture or related field, you will have experience of working on design projects with a significant level of community engagement.  With excellent communication, report writing, networking and visual presentation skills, you will be computer literate with a strong administrative background.  You will have the ability to maintain productive working relationships and a knowledge of current guidance and best practice in street design.  You will also be committed to the ideals of sustainable transport.
