Principal Urban Designer / Landscape Officer - Swale Borough Council

£41,564 to £46,76 per annum

Swale Borough lies in an attractive and diverse part of Kent involving urban, rural and coastal areas. The Council is embarking on a review of its Local Plan and we are seeking skilled and talented planners and urban designer/landscape specialists to support the work on the unique range of planning challenges and opportunities posed by the many significant major developments and garden community proposals likely to come forward.


£41,564 to £46,760 per annum including £3,000 market supplement

Whilst part of a small, newly created multi- disciplinary team leading on the new garden communities projects, the postholder will work on other major development schemes and planning applications. The successful candidate would be expected to have qualified in planning, urban design, architecture and/or landscape design and have significant demonstrable experience of working on major projects and securing quality sustainable design outcomes.
