Architect and/or Urban Designer - Define
Define is an established and dynamic built environment practice, based in central Birmingham, with a reputation for producing work of the highest standard. Our approach focuses on Placemaking, and our combination of planning, urban design and landscape architectural skills lead us to working on prestigious projects across the UK.
We are currently engaged in masterplanning and design coding a number of prominent new communities; including the largest component of Ebbsfleet Garden City, Milton Keynes Western Expansion Area and Culham Smart Village.
The available position is for an Architect and/or Urban Designer to be involved in preparing large-scale residential led masterplanning, design coding and both outline and detailed planning applications. A demonstrable involvement in these activities is a pre-requisite for the successful candidate.
You will have a design based degree in landscape architecture or architecture with a post graduate diploma or masters degree in urban design or a Pt 2 architectural qualification, and a minimum of 2 years experience in an urban design/architectural consultancy.
Literacy in Adobe CC, Vectorworks/AutoCAD and hand drawn graphics is essential.
