Senior Urban Designer (Ref: SUS2678)

£27,255 per annum 

37.5 hours per week – maternity cover - based in Edinburgh (job share hours available)

This is a very exciting role to support the delivery of high quality, imaginative design work on our Street Design Project and to lead on the implementation of the Pocket Places programme which includes community led design processes, the design and installation of temporary interventions on the public carriageway, urban realm improvements and the design of walking and cycling routes.

Educated to degree level or equivalent or with a relevant qualification in urban design, landscape architecture or a related field, you will have experience of working on design projects with a significant level of community engagement. You will have proven experience in workshop facilitation and experience of effective and productive partnership working. Your excellent visual presentation skills and practical competency in producing 3D renders and animation, will complement your excellent written and verbal communication skills and your ability to be proactive. You will also have knowledge of current best practice in urban design and be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
