Tuesday 11 September 2018 (All day)

Walking and cycling are now main-stream political priorities:

- The Department for Transport has produced national guidance on network planning for walking
- Transport for London is preparing pedestrian design guidance.
This evening lecture, given by:
Phil Jones, one of the UK's leading experts on street design, walking and cycling
Feryal Demirci, Deputy Mayor of Hackney with responsibility for Transport;
Naomi Baster, Principal City Planner. Active Travel and Health at TFL
will cover:
- the importance and value of walking and cycling strategies, plans and design guidance
- how to produce high quality documents that will have impact
- the impact on urban design, and
- how campaigners and designers should engage.
