Skills for Urban Design - The state of the profession

Representatives of UCL will be launching a UDG funded report on the extent of skills in local authorities in the Great Britain, based on an extensive survey.

The report comes at a time when local authorities are losing staff in the face of repeated budget cut backs. The challenge of having the resources to ensure design quality of new development is becoming ever more critical.

Followed by group discussion on how to respond to the findings.
