STREET Tour of Camden High Street

Ian Hingley from Urban Initiatives will be giving this tour of Camden High Street. Urban Initiatives were commissioned by Camden Council to develop design proposals that dealt with a number of issues on their main High Street. These included pedestrian congestion, high levels of petty crime, high vehicle speeds, high levels of accidents involving pedestrians and high retail vacancy levels.

Ian will explain the interventions proposed to solve these problems and look at their effectiveness on the now completed phase one, north of Camden Town underground station. The tour will start at Mornington Crescent Underground Station and will proceed north along the High Street and end at the Stables Market where we will stop at the Hawley Arms to discuss the layout.
