Amanda Reynolds was elected as Chair and received a warm welcome from those present.  Having been a member of the UDG for ten years and on the Executive Committee for the past two, Amanda will be our first female Chair.

We thank the outgoing Chair Duncan Ecob for his hard work and insight over the past two years, particularly presiding over the successful launch of the UDG's Recognised Practitioner initiative, the expansion of the Urban Design Group's various awards and the development of regional activity.  He will continue his involvement with the UDG on the Executive Committee.

New elections included Colin Munsie, continuing his valuable input after being co-opted onto the Committee in 2009; Katy Neaves, a familiar face at the UDG for many years and currently co-ordinating the STREET network and activities; and finally Andrew Dakin who is based in Bristol thus strengthening the UDG's regional connections.

Hugo Frieszo was elected to continue as Treasurer. Ben van Bruggen, Philip Cave, Sebastian Loew, Paul Reynolds, Barry Sellers and Alan Stones were all re-elected.

John Billingham, Sophie Burtt, Graham Smith and Jack Warshaw will all be co-opted onto the 2010-11 Executive Committee.

Louise Thomas stood down from the committee but will continue her vital role as editor or Urban Design.
